Bishop Charles R. Walters, Sr.

Senior Pastor, Presiding Prelate

 

Bishop Charles R. Walters, Sr. is a native of Wilmington, NC and currently resides in Charlotte, NC.   He was born in April of 1947 to James and Earline Walters.  He accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized on February 10, 1957 at the age of ten.   

Bro. Walters attended the New Hanover County School District . After completion he joined the United States Marine Corp.  At the age of nineteen he found himself on the battlefield of Vietnam. 

He was wounded in action and received an honorable discharge. He was highly decorated for his service, receiving  the Silver Star from the President of the United States, for his Gallantry In Service.

Bro. Walters served at Adams Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church as a trustee.  He was one of the founding members of Spirit of the Living God Ministries, where he served as Chairman of the Council Board.  Feeling a deeper calling Bro. Walters enrolled in the Rod of God Bible Institute under Bishop Larry and Dr. Bonnie Allen.

Bro. Walters preached his initial sermon on October 3, 1993 and was licensed  under Pastor A. James Snead. He was later licensed through the Rod of God Ministries on May 1, 1994 and ordained on July 30,1995.  He  also received  an Associate Degree from Spirit of Life Leadership and Bible Institute under Dr. and Pastor Hill.

With all things in order God began to reveal even more.  Instructing him to “Feed 5,000.”  Little did he know God was preparing him to birth another ministry.  He then became the Founder and Senior Pastor of Remnant Outreach Ministries, Inc. in  October 1995.

Pastor Walters was consecrated as Bishop, Presiding Prelate of Remnant Outreach Ministries, Inc. on October 14, 2006.

Bishop Walters currently has seven licensed ministers, and three ministries under his leadership.  His motto is, “God is raising up an army and He is teaching us how to fight!” 

He is married to Prophetess Patricia C. Walters  who serves with him in the ministry as Co-Pastor. They are the parents of Clifton, Charles Jr, Eunice, Natasha, and Crystal.  They are predeceased by one son, Charles Lamar Kirkpatrick.  They have 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The Lord has blessed them to be the spiritual parents and grandparents to many.

Prophetess Patricia C. Walters

Co-Pastor, Executive Administrator

 

Prophetess Walters was born to the late Ross E. Reid and Eddie Bell Green on May 10, 1950 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized on July 27, 1958 at the age of eight. 

She has been blessed and highly favored by the Lord personally, professionally, and spiritually.  In December 1975, Prophetess  met her soul-mate, Charles R. Walters, Sr. (Chuck).  They were married 8 months later…it was truly love at first sight!   

 This blended family of eight became a unit of “one.”

Adhering to the call of the Lord, Prophetess Walters enrolled in the Southern Baptist Seminary Extension Program in 1990.  She preached her initial sermon in April 1991 and was licensed by the Western North Carolina Conference of the AME Church on May 11, 1991.  

On September 15, 1991, she co-founded Spirit of the Living God Ministries and served as Associate Pastor, Youth Director, Choir Director and Secretary of the Council Board (church secretary).  She was issued an official Certificate of Ministry by The United Christian Church & Ministerial Association (Tennessee) on November 30, 1991.   To fulfill a spiritual hunger, she enrolled at the Rod of God Bible Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina under Bishop Larry and Dr. Bonnie Allen in 1993.  She was licensed to minister by the Rod of God Bible Institute on May 1, 1994 and was ordained on July 30, 1995.

Through the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit, Prophetess Walters and her husband established, Remnant Outreach Ministries, Inc. in October 1995.  As Co-Pastor, Prophetess Walters oversees the temporal affairs of the ministry in the capacity of Executive Administrator.  She also serves as Youth Advisor, Women’s Fellowship Advisor, and Music Director. 

Bishop and Prophetess Walters also founded the Remnant Bible Institute.  The institute is a vehicle through which individuals can obtain a certificate in Advanced Biblical Studies or pursue a license to minister, including ordination.   

An anointed Psalmist and Praise & Worship Leader, Prophetess Walters is a noted conference speaker/facilitator at Women’s Conferences in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
